Purchasing Electronic Versions of IEER Publications

Please read before purchasing PDFs

The PDF: What am I buying?
Some IEER publications can be purchased as a computer file. The format of this file is called a PDF (short for portable document format). You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free program, installed on your computer to view and print PDFs.

How do I get the PDF?
After receiving your on-line credit card payment, IEER will email you instructions on how to download the PDF file. This will include the web URL and the password needed to open the PDF. Because the password will remain active for 7 days, your download must occur within this time. Can I print or share the PDF?
By purchasing the PDF, you agree to print no more than one copy of the publication for your personal, noncommercial use. Distributing, sharing or posting the PDF file is strictly prohibited.

System requirements:

  • Disk space: Be sure you have enough disk space on your computer for the file you want to download. The size of each purchasable electronic publication is provided on IEER's Publications Order page in megabytes (MB) or kilobytes (kB).

  • Connection speed: The electronic document may be a large file and take some time to download. We recommend that you have a fast connection (e.g., DSL or broadband/cable) to facilitate the download. If you have a slow (dial-up) connection, the download could take 15 to 30 minutes.

  • Software: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free program, to read the publication. All IEER publications are provided in PDF.
